About the Roast
We take our decaf seriously. We truly can’t tell you how many people thank us after enjoying a nice cup of our Colombia decaf coffee because they didn’t know decaf coffee could taste good. The biggest upside is that Colombia does the entire decaffeination process in country, so it goes from the field, to decaf, to us. With this coffee, you’ll get a great chocolate note with a sweet fruity finish. We roast this decaf to a dark roast, dropping the coffee in the middle of 2nd Crack.

About the Coffee
Located in a biological Conservation Corridor, Valle del Cauca lies between the National Park of Tatama and “serrania de los paraguas”. Some years ago, this region was identified by Conservation International as one of the two main conservation corridors in Colombia. Farmers in this region are keenly aware of the importance of the preservation of natural resources, water management and friendly environmental practices.
Our Valle del Cauca Excelso was decaffeinated in Colombia using ethyl acetate – an organic compound derived from sugar cane – to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The process tends to leave a pleasantly sugary flavor.
Origin Report
With 16 coffee-producing regions along three mountain ranges and two harvests each year, Colombia is a fresh coffee powerhouse. The South American origin also has access to both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, which is a unique blessing for shipping logistics.
